The Canadian Balboa Championships is an annual one-weekend national event whose mission is to promote and spread the knowledge of Balboa throughout Quebec and the rest of Canada.

The Canadian Balboa Championships is an intense workshop weekend presenting international instructors that will take place October 3rd to 5th 2008. The forms of Balboa that will be taught: Pure Balboa, Bal-Swing, Slow Balboa and Balboa Tricks. Three eight hour tracks will be offered from Beginner to Advanced with some additional add on classes that will feature Master Classes and Special Classes for only Girls and Guys.

The CBC will feature awe-inspiring competitions highlighting the best dancers in Balboa. The competitions are free for all of those dancers who have purchased a weekend pass. There will be four competitions: Amateur and Open Couples Divisions and an Open Jack and Jill. There are no rules for these competitions but to just come and show everyone what you got!

Moreover, CBC offers tremendous dance nights with breathtaking live bands from Quebec City and an amazing assortment of Canadian DJ’s. In addition there will be late night dancing until 2am.

Finally, CBC gives you a chance to discover one of the most captivating cities in North America. In Quebec City you will find that, like it is for Swing, the past is always present, and the present looks to the future!
